PORTLAND -- The sign on the terminal entrance says Portland International Airport, but the signs of the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas are unmistakable.
A scan of travelers in the terminal reveals the uniform of the rodeo fans everywhere -- cowboy boots, cowboy hats and rodeo jackets.
A bus carrying farmers, ranchers and Eastern Oregon business folks should be pulling up to the terminal any moment. Those are my travel companions for the week. We are off to the NFR.
If I can get internet connectivity from my lodgings in Vegas, I'll post again from the desert (time and sobriety permitting).
